Katy Dermatology treats adult and pediatric patients for a wide array of dermatologic concerns.
All patients are treated by board certified dermatologists.
Dermatologists are experts in skin, hair and nail diseases.
Our medical dermatological expertise includes the diagnosis and management of common conditions such as acne, warts, moles, eczema and psoriasis. Additionally, our doctors can manage less common conditions such as blistering diseases, cutaneous lupus erythematosus and dermatitis herpetiformis.
We perform dermatologic surgery on a daily basis including skin biopsies, mole removal, wart treatments, skin cancer excisions, and nail surgery.
Dr. Uptmore, Dr. Carter, Dr. Hickman and Dr. Zahiruddin offer cosmetic treatments including botox treatments, chemical peels and electrosurgery.
Dermatologists are doctors that specialize in treating conditions of the skin, hair and nails. To become a board certified dermatologist, you must graduate college, complete four years of medical school, one year of general medical training known as an internship, and three years of specialized dermatology training known as residency. At that point, the physician is eligible to take a rigorous and thorough certification exam, administered by the American Board of Dermatology. Subsequently, the physician has to demonstrate sufficient professional ability to practice competently, ethically and independently. At this point, the physician will be certified by the American Board of Dermatology.
